Our Story
Some places simply feel like they belong in your story.
For us, South Lake Tahoe has always been one of those places. There is something unforgettable about the mountains meeting the water, the long summer days, and the feeling that life slows down just enough to enjoy the people around you. When we began imagining where we wanted to celebrate our marriage, we knew we wanted somewhere that felt beautiful, meaningful, and worthy of bringing together the people who mean the most to us.
So, on July 3, 2027, surrounded by Lake Tahoe and the people we love, we will say I do aboard a yacht on the lake.
But we don't want this to feel like just a wedding.
A Weekend Together
With our wedding falling on Fourth of July weekend, we decided to make the most of having everyone together and turn our celebration into an entire weekend of memories.
Our wedding on July 3 will be the heart of the weekend, followed by more time together as we celebrate the Fourth of July in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. We hope it becomes one of those weekends we all look back on for years to come—not only because we got married, but because we were able to share it with the people who have been part of our lives and our story.
Why You're Invited
Our guest list was created with a great deal of thought.
If you are receiving this invitation, it is because you mean something to us. You have been part of our lives, our families, our friendships, or the experiences that have helped shape who we are today.
Because space aboard the yacht is limited, we simply cannot invite everyone we know and care about. We chose the people we most want beside us as we begin this next chapter together.
Your presence truly matters to us. More than anything, we hope you'll be there to celebrate, laugh, make memories, and share this incredible weekend with us.
A Note About Children
Due to the yacht's strict capacity and our limited guest count, the wedding ceremony and reception aboard the yacht will be adults only.
We know that traveling for a wedding without your children can be difficult, and we want families to be able to enjoy the weekend together. Children are absolutely welcome to join you in South Lake Tahoe and participate in the festivities outside of the wedding itself.
To make things easier for our guests, childcare will be available during the hours of the wedding. Once the wedding concludes, families are welcome to reunite and continue enjoying the weekend and Fourth of July celebrations together.
We hope this allows parents to enjoy the wedding with us while still making Tahoe a memorable family weekend.
Why Your RSVP Matters
Because our wedding will take place aboard a yacht, our guest capacity is firm and extremely limited. For that reason, the RSVP deadline is especially important.
We completely understand that traveling to South Lake Tahoe over a holiday weekend may not work for everyone. If you are unable to attend, there are other people who are special to us whom we would love the opportunity to invite in your place.
Please don't feel guilty if you cannot make the trip. We simply ask that you let us know by the RSVP deadline so we can finalize our yacht guest list and, when possible, extend an invitation to another person who is meaningful to us.
We kindly ask that you RSVP by the date listed on your invitation, even if your answer is no.
We Can't Wait to Celebrate With You
At the end of the day, this weekend isn't about the yacht, the destination, or even the view.
It's about bringing together the people we love.
We chose South Lake Tahoe because it gives us the chance to turn one very special day into an unforgettable weekend—one filled with family, friends, celebration, and memories made together.
Thank you for being part of our lives and for being someone we want beside us for such an important moment.
We can't wait to celebrate our wedding, the Fourth of July, and the beginning of this next chapter with you.
With love,
Heather & Rob
